1. Siamese Cat Breed

Siamese cats are one of the most adored and famous cat breeds. They are intelligent, talkative, and lovely natured felines, making ideal family pets.

These cats have unique short coats, with a light-colored body and silky smooth fur. Their face, paws, and tails are darker than the rest of their bodies. And all Siamese cats have stunning blue eyes.

While they are great indoor cats, they seek companionship from their owners, including sitting on laps and snuggling in bed.

Siamese cats are often labeled as "dog-like" because they enjoy following their humans around and enjoy playtime, like fetch, so stock up on active cat toys. Although they are loving cats, this breed should not be left alone at home for extended periods.

2. Birman Cats

This adorable breed is characterised by its darker face which contrasts with a generally white body. The Birman's bushy tail and paws are also usually dark as are the insides of their ears. All of this is offset by gorgeous blue eyes.

These affectionate and gentle cats were bred to be companions so they are happiest with human companion and spending time with their favourite humans.

3. Himalayan Cat Breeds

These gentle cats boast lovely, deep blue eyes and long, dense coats. The Himalayan cat is medium-sized, with a similar appearance and features to the Persian cat.

4. Balinese Cat Breed

The Balinese cat breed began as a mutation of the Siamese cat breed. They are very similar to the Siamese cat breed but have a longer coat.

This is a stylish and sleek breed with the same deep blue eyes of the Siamese – add in their gorgeous silky long coat and this is one good looking cat breed.

Balinese cats are known to be intelligent, friendly and playful. They can also be quite vocal and rather demanding – part of that intelligence, these kitties know what they want!

This is also a breed that likes attention and shouldn't be left alone for long periods. So if you are after an independent and introverted type of kitty this isn't the breed for you.

5. Javanese Cat Breed

Developed from a mix of Siamese, Balinese and Colorpoint breeds, the Javanese is a blue-eyed cat breed. Whilst they can appear delicate, they are actually quite muscular and love to jump and climb.

6. Ojos Azules Cat Breed

One of the rarest cat breeds in the world, this blue eyed cat breeds is gorgeous. Their name actually means blue eyes in Spanish. Most stunning, this blue eyed cat can also be found with a dark, contrasting coat.

This breed was discovered in New Mexico in the mid 1980s and named after its deep blue eyes.

7. Persian Cat Breed

Persian cats are affectionate, docile, and gentle kitties. This breed has a quiet demeanor; they plop down on any soft surface and simply pose for your appreciation. These elegant cats are not very active, which makes them the perfect indoor pet.

Playful and friendly, with stunning blue eyes, the Ragdoll cat is a famously fun pet. Their most fascinating feature is their tendency to lie limp when you pick them up (as opposed to most cats, who squirm out of your hold as soon as they can).

9. Tonkinese Cat Breed

This playful kitty maintains its playful instincts all of its life. They love to run, play fetch, answer the door, and more. Tonkinese cats are very social and much prefer company to being alone.

The Tonkinese breed is believed to have been brought to the UK in the early 1800s and called Chocolate Siamese. In the USA, the Tonkinese breed was developed from the Siamese and Burmese breeds to provide a more moderate breed and to have stunning aqua blue eyes.

This breed was developed in the 1960s and 1970s. These medium-sized cats can be quite strong and have short, silky hair.

10. Snowshoe Cat Breed

Named for their gorgeous white paws, the Snowshoe breed features blue eyes. The Snowshoe breed has siamese ancestry, the source of its gorgeous blue eyes.

This breed is born all white and develops dark features as it ages. Snowshoe cats tend have to have a rounder and fuller face and body than its Siamese ancestors.

11. Turkish Angora Cat Breed

Turkish Angora cats are known for their long, silky coats which often become the longest around the cat's neck. They are an adorable combination of large ears, almond-shaped eyes, and a small to medium-sized head.

The most common eye colour for a Turkish Angora cat is blue. However, they can also have amber, green or gold eyes as well.

Originally from Turkey (you may have guessed this), the earliest records of the Turkish Angora cat are from the 16th century. However, the breed began to disappear in the early 19th century.

The Turkish Angora was bred at the Ankara Zoo to preserve its pedigree and breed was officially established in North America in the 1970s.

These friendly and gentle cats also have a more boisterous side and love run, jump and explore. He loves to play and will do almost anything to get your attention.
